WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT...
Adventure and Complete Immersion
Adventure is at the core of my photography, whether we’re hiking through a misty forest, chasing golden light on a mountaintop, or running through city streets coffee shop hopping. Luckily, if you're sticking with me, I spend enough time high-tailing it in my green mini cooper Mylo to offer you some of the most magical spaces to explore! I really want you to feel it all—the wind in your hair, the dirt under your feet, the thrill of the moment. Spontaneity is absolutely welcome and messiness is embraced; I believe that your story unfolds best when you’re fully present in it.

But adventure isn’t solely about the places we go—it’s about the connections we build. At your session, I’ll probably ask you the “silly” questions—your favorite season, the song you have on repeat. On your wedding day, I’ll be right there dancing with you, cheering you on, probably tearing up, and making sure every detail that matters to you is captured with heart. Because creating your gallery isn’t just about taking photos—it’s about understanding who you are and honoring your story in the most meaningful and true way possible.
An Image as a True Moment in Time
I think that in order to tell a good story, we have to not only accept, but openly invite and involve what's "messy." Think tear-stained cheeks, flowers tangled in hair, ab-chiseling laughs, and an eccentric web of colors, patterns, textures, and emotions. This all ties back to ARP's main philosophy: every moment is a "picture-perfect" moment. When we focus too much on perfection, we miss out on what's real. It's my job to make sure this time in your life is properly and genuinely preserved; think of me as a friend just floating around who happens to own a camera. Someone there to document you and your people first-hand, in a way that feels uninterrupted and observed by someone from the inner circle. I think a lot of what gets lost in the photography industry nowadays is the true and simple art of having fun.

With that, what matters most is capturing the real feeling. And then, making sure that feeling and its full essence moves forward with you, greeting you every single time you reopen your gallery in the years to come. I want you to open your album and feel moved by a reflection of who you are— the love you put into the world and the connection shared between family, friends, and even the environment around you. ARP’s approach is true, responsive, emotional! It’s simply holding up a mirror to the magic that already exists—untouched (besides a touch of color grading;)) by me or my camera.
True-to-Life Editing Style That Packs a Punch
Now that we've gone over how a gallery + session with me feels, let's talk about how it looks ! As the title suggests, I describe my editing vibe as true-to-life with a punch. It is rooted in real life: true tones, natural textures, and colors that actually reflect the world around us. I keep skin tones honest, environments earthy, and lighting true to what was felt in the moment. If theres a soft, golden rim light around your hair, I will dive straight into upping those sunny hues. In the same vein, I would never warm up a beautiful purple and blue sunset— I want to allow every color to show up fully and truly, But don’t mistake the genuineness as flat or boring—there’s eccentricity where it matters. Whether it’s a streak of grain, a deepened shadow, an emboldened color, or a kick of contrast, I enjoy bringing just enough edge to make each image feel alive and cinematic. It’s a balance of softness and strength: nothing overly polished, nothing ever overdone!
